An easy and effective method to help you learn and especially, live a new language. A language is culture. Getting to know it means living it as a local, capturing the nuances of the different accents of the people you meet along the way, celebrating all the new flavors while admiring the almost unknown landscapes that will leave you speechless. This is the best way I know to help you learn a language. You can take my word for it, Girandola’s honor! This is how I conceived the Tourlallà Method: my Italian language learning format for foreigners that combines practical language skills with an experiential tour in Italy.
*In Italian, this word means both pinwheel and wanderer
How does the Tourlallà method work?
The Tourlallà Method is a two-phase course to learn Italian in a practical and personalized way: one-to-one online lessons and experiential tours in Calabria, Southern Italy.
1. Become acquainted with the Italian language before you leave home
Your journey with Tourlallà starts before you get here: I will guide you with online lessons one-to-one, three months before your arrival in Italy.
Together, we will explore your passions and your interests and assess how much you already know about the language. From there, we will structure a path to help you learn Italian in a fun, practical and swift way.
It will be especially good because doing it this way will allow you to fill your luggage with useful knowledge while looking forward to going on your Tourlallà journey, to re-discover the Italian language.
2. Travel to discover the Italian language
After our lessons, I will wait for you in Italy to begin your journey of re-discovery of the Italian language, together with your new partners in “adventure”. And that’s when the Tourlallà Method truly springs into action.
In just two weeks, you will get your fill of the Italian lifestyle. A “Buongiorno” said while sitting at a tiny village café, having a cappuccino and a cornetto, a walk through the very narrow and rowdy little streets of a small Italian village, a chat with your neighbor and a sip of Amaro to help your stomach settle after a typically plentiful Mediterranean dinner, are just some of the experiences you will live, in direct contact with the language.
I will provide you with the right tools to move confidently in a new context, to master the experiences you will live and to communicate effectively with the people you will meet along your journey. At the end of your journey, chatting in Italian will be much easier than you thought.
